46th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) Examination, Preliminary Test (MCQ) Schedule
On 30th November 2024 46th BCS exam circular has announced the preliminary multiple choice question (MCQ) test for the 46th BCS Examination 2024 will be held on Saturday, March 9th, 2024 from 10AM to 12PM.
The test will be conducted simultaneously across examination centers in:
- Dhaka
- Rajshahi
- Chittagong
- Khulna
- Barisal
- Sylhet
- Rangpur
- Mymensingh
All examinees must follow all selected protocols implemented for the examination.

About 46th BCS Vacancy Details
The 46th BCS will see the recruitment of nearly 1710 persons to fill up the vacant seats in government hospitals. However, the 46th BCS will be started following the previous pattern as people will be finally selected for all the categories. In total, more than 1710 people will be selected and the categories are written below:
1. General Cadre: Total-542
- Administration Cadre 250
- Assistant Police Super Cadres 120
- Foreign Ministry Cadre 20
- Ansar Cadre 19
- Tax Cadre 43
2. Professional /Technical Cadre: 740
3. BCS General Education Cadre: 871
4. General Education Cadre (Government Teachers Training College): 23
5. Vocational Cadre: 04
This time total 2 Thousands & 180 Hundreds empty posts will be filled up by 46th BCS cadres. 41th BCS exam will be organized simultaneously in Dhaka, Sylhet, Rajshahi, Khulna, Barisal, Chittagong, & Rangpur.

Instructions for Applicants:
- Applicant must carry this admit card for the Preliminary Test, Written Examination, and Viva Voce.
- Applicant must sit in the examination hall at least 30 minutes before the Preliminary Test and 15 minutes before the Written Examination. On the day of the Preliminary test, it is forbidden to leave the hall before the test ends.
- Applicant is prohibited from bringing books, bags, mobile phones, wristwatches, smartwatches, calculators, or any other type of communicative device.
- Applicant must use the same signature used in the admit card for the attendance sheet and answer script.
- Applicant must use a black ballpoint pen to fill in the OMR form.
- Applicant will be expelled and punished according to the Bangladesh Public Service Commission Act, 2024, and other relevant laws if the general instructions are not followed or if found guilty of misconduct or adopting unfair means.

- General Science – 15 marks
- International Affair – 20 marks
- About Bangladesh – 30 marks

- Computer & Information Technology 1- 5 marks
- Ethics, Values and Good Governance – 10 marks
- Environment and Disaster Management & Geography (Bangladesh & World) – 10 marks

46th BCS (Bangladesh Civil Service) Examination, 2024
Preliminary Exam
Each candidate must pass the preliminary exam. Only candidates who are shortlisted will proceed to the next exam.
Written Exam
- The 46th BCS Written Exam will be held after the Preliminary Exam to finalize candidates for the viva exam.
- Exam date is not declared yet. Official updates will be provided once available.
- Based on previous years, the exam will likely be 3 hours long, cover the same syllabus as before, and carry 100 marks.
Viva Exam
- The final round is the viva exam.
- Candidates who excel in the written exam will be called for the viva.
- Candidates selected in the viva exam will qualify for final recruitment.
46th BCS Exam Seat Plan
The 46th BCS Exam will be conducted across various exam centers located in different parts of Bangladesh. The exam seating arrangements showing the allocate center for each candidate (46th BCS seat plan) will be published a few days prior to the exam date. We will listed the seat plan details as soon as they are released.
46th BCS Exam Admit Card
Admit Card for 46th BCS exam is not available now. Very soon it will be available in the website and applies applicants will be able to collect their admit card. Admit card will be found in BPSC (Bangladesh Public Service Commission) website www.bpsc.govt.bd & in this website too.
